The Media Office announces that His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will preside over the Mass of Ecclesial Communion with His Beatitude Mar Polis III Nona, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church, at 10:00 a.m. (Rome time) on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City, with the participation of the bishops of the Chaldean Synod.

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (Rome time), His Beatitude Patriarch Nona will celebrate Holy Mass according to the Chaldean Rite in St. Peter’s Basilica.

The Media Office warmly invites the faithful of our Chaldean Church throughout the world to participate in these two significant ecclesial celebrations at the Vatican. It also asks them to accompany these celebrations with their prayers for His Beatitude Patriarch Nona, for our bishops, and for our Chaldean Church in Iraq and throughout the diaspora, that ecclesial communion may remain a firm guiding principle in the life and mission of the Church.
