Earlier today, His Holiness Mar Gewargis III Younan, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Ancient Church of the East in Iraq and worldwide, welcomed a delegation of the Assyrian and Chaldean communities visiting from the United States of America. The delegation was headed by Mr. Martin Manna, President of the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce and the Chaldean Community Foundation of Michigan, and accompanied by Mr. Robert Dekelaita, President of the Assyrian Chamber of Commerce in Chicago.

The delegation included Mr. Yaqoub Bakkal (Businessman), Mr. Christopher Dinha (Businessman), Mr. Ghazwan Elias (Director of the Iraq Office of the Foundation), Mr. Hanan Qia (Assistant Director of the Iraq Office), and Mr. Wilson Sarkis (Media Coverage).

The meeting covered various topics, including the situation of Christians in Iraq and ways to support their communities. The delegation also discussed efforts to promote investment and economic development in the country, aiming to create opportunities that benefit both Christians and the wider Iraqi society

The meeting was attended by His Beatitude Mar Yakoob Danil, Metropolitan of Baghdad and Basra and Patriarchal Vicar, and Father Shemoun Aslan, Secretary of the Patriarchate.
