Mr. Sarkis Aghajan received in his residential place an American delegation from the IDC organization comprising Tawfiq Baaklini, head of the organization, Kirsten Evans, the Executive Director of the organization and Christian Olney, Government Relations Associate.

Discussed during the meeting were the conditions of our Christian community and IDPs. Aghajan urged for the necessity of activating Resolution 75 related to ethnic minority genocide by the American senate which was unanimously approved by the American Congress.

He also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the exceptional efforts made by the IDC members in preparing a detailed report on the crimes committed by ISIS against our people in Iraq and Syria that had a far reaching impact on the announcement by the US Secretary of State John Kerry that what happened to Christians and other ethnic minorities was an act of genocide by ISIS.

The head of the organization expressed full readiness to go ahead with what they have started with and work to achieve the second milestone, i.e., how to implement international protection and establish a safe haven for our people for the sake of reconstructing and building the infrastructure and institutions and the reconstruction of the area that would help our people live in peace following the liberation of the areas under the control of ISIS.
