The Iraqi parliamentary delegation headed by Dr. Luis Caro concluded its visit to Japan by visiting the Japanese city of Hiroshima, a city that suffered nuclear bombing during World War II, in August 1945, and which claimed the lives of 140.000 people of its population. The visit included the Peace Garden, where the tomb of the disaster’s victims is located, where the delegation placed a wreath upon it; also there was a visit to the museum that is allocated to showcase the mass destruction of this city, so as to give a close look to the scale of the disaster. The delegation was accompanied by a Japanese government delegation in this visit.
