   MP Read Isaac Matti member of the Iraqi parliament met on Saturday 21 February with HG Mar Timotheus Musa Al Shamani Bishop of the Diocese of Mar Matti. During the meeting, the two sides talked about issues concerning the displaced Christians of the Nineveh Plain and Mosul, where the Archbishop was briefed on the details of the phone call the MP made with the Minister of Displacement and Migration, specifically the ( million dinar grant) which wasn’t received by many of the displaced Christians, like the newlyweds who were unable to complete the official papers such as the ration card and the resident card, and those who moved from place to place before reaching to Kurdistan Region. The Minister had informed MP Isaac of resuming the distribution of the grant from their offices the next week.
And on 22 February the MP visited the ( Eyon Erbil ) complex in Ainkawa which is inhabited by displaced families from the town of Karamles. He met with Father Yousef Al-Qahwaji and Father Thabet, who supervise over the complex, the parliament member was briefed on the problems faced by the displaced people living there and ways to overcome them.
