At the invitation of the Committee of Relations of the European Parliament, the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council in Germany represented by Mr. Samir Joda participated in the hearing session of the European Parliament on 04.12.2014 about the situation in Iraq, especially in areas controlled by the Daesh terrorist organization; where Sheikh Hamam Hamoudi, deputy head of the Iraqi parliament called on the international community on his speech to support Iraq against the attacks of Daesh. There were many interventions of the global humanitarian organizations from Germany and France, the American envoy to the European Union and the representatives of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region also participated in the session along with the representatives of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian parties and the representatives of Islamic, Kurdish and Turkmen parties and those interested in the Iraqi issue.
Mr. David Komlbert, Chairman of the Committee of Relations in the European Parliament concluded the session with his word on working to provide all the possible support for Iraq and the Iraqis, to get to a federal democratic Iraq through a national government that combines all the different Iraqi sects and components.
