On 10.16.2014, the Presidency of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council received a delegation representing international civil society organizations, specialized in the relief of refugees, displaced, and human rights. The delegation was received by Shams Aldeen Georgis chairman of the Council, Fahmi Yousef Mansour, a member of the presidency, Ghazwan Rizqallah and Saher Hanna members of the Council and Luay Noel official of foreign relations committee in the Council.
During the visit, the visiting delegation was briefed on the situation of our displaced people through a detailed explanation provided by the Presidency, also the parties discussed the most important problems of the displaced in general and the ways to overcome them. The visiting delegation stressed on continuing communications with the Council to be aware of the magnitude of the suffering experienced by the displaced, and to shed light on their needs so as to transfer it to the international community through the civic organizations and media, as well as pressing on the Western governments to provide best help to them.
