At the invitation of Mr. Stephen Harper, the Canadian Prime Minister directed to the representative of the Popular Council’s branch of Canada, to attend the meeting which was headed by the Prime Minister, together with the Messrs Herman Van Rumbi head of the European Union and Mr. Joseph Manuel Barroso, head of the European Commission, and with the presence of more than 1,500 invited personalities from the ministers and members of the Canadian Parliament and Canadians and Europeans businessmen, Mr. Madloum Marouki representative of the Council attended the meeting.

 On the sidelines of this meeting, Mr. Harper personally met with Marouki, who explained the suffering of our Christian displaced people, presenting at the same time his sincere thanks for the Canadian government’s efforts to address this crises, within the framework of a high level delegation that was sent to Iraq for this purpose, whose goals are to help the displaced and to guarantee their return to their villages and towns under an international protection. It is noteworthy that Mr. Harper had reviewed in his speech during the special session of the United Nations that Canada will not stand idly about what the criminal gangs are doing of killing and displacing innocent people in the Middle East; and will work at the same time within the framework of an international effort to establish peace, democracy and security to those who cannot protect themselves and their property, stressing that this will be within the efforts that we all work for to eliminate the threats of the Islamic State gangs, who want to control over the world. Also there was another meeting with Mr. Bob Decarte member of the Canadian Parliament, where he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Council in this regard.
