On 09/25/2014, a delegation from Sweden represented by the gentlemen Yousef Beth Yousef chairman of Brekhon Assyrian Club, representative of the Assyrian Clubs Union in Eutobory and Shumeer Al Bazi member of Caldoashur Syriac Youth Union in Eutobory, visited the headquarters of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council in Dohuk, and they were received by Shams Aldeen Georgis Chairman of the Council and Saher Hanna member of the Council. The two sides addressed how to internationalize our people’s crisis, in order to save them from their plight by imposing a safe zone in the Nineveh Plain with international protection and guarantees; then Shams Aldeen thanked the efforts of all the benevolent of our expatriates people who intend to lend a helping hand to their folk  in Iraq , then he added that “The plight of our people is a heavy load that requires all the efforts of the church, the political parties and the civil society organizations, because anyone who can save our people is welcome to try, yet the logic says we need to unite all our people’s institutions so as to save them from this situation.”
Then he said “Any advanced Western country when facing compelling conditions it declares a state of emergency, for example, if (10,000) people left their homes as a result of those conditions the state will be confused in finding a way to solve the problem, and so you can imagine the case with our (120.000) forcibly displaced people, it is now necessary to work together to resolve this crisis and not to put the blame on each other.”
At the end of this meeting the delegation was bid a warm farewell as it was received.
