Throughout its history, our Chaldean Syriac Assyrian (Christian) people in Iraq had been exposed and subjected to the calamities, misfortunes, hardships and forced displacement, but this time the picture came with more humiliation and a violation to every human concepts and values, ​​in the light of the dangerous political void and the Iraqi government's failure to provide security and stability in the Nineveh Plain for our people and the rest of the national and religious components, as they faced killings, ethnic cleansing and forced displacement, where the Daesh terrorist gangs, and since their control of the city of Mosul, committed the worst crimes against our people who were living in peace in their historical land for thousands of years, and forcing them to leave the city after looting their property and possessions, and burning and violating the sanctity of churches and monasteries and other religious and civilization features of the city, in a suspicious scheme, and after threatening them to be killed if not converting to Islam or paying tribute, or else, forced to leave the city for good.
   Before that, these terrorist gangs launched a series of attacks and missiles bombing on Baghdida City, which led to the displacement of tens of thousands of our people towards the Kurdistan Region and the safe areas in the Nineveh Plain, and today the hand of terrorism reached to the city of Tilkaif, after bombing it with missiles, and again the scene was repeated, and tens of thousands of our people migrated from Tilkaif and the surrounding villages.
   Notably, since the beginning of these events, the terrorist groups depraved the Nineveh Plain of all basic services (electricity, water, fuel).
  Today, after the control of Daesh terrorist gangs on the city of Sinjar, it committed horrific and inhuman crimes against the peaceful Yazidi brothers in that city, crimes that rise to the level of genocide, and because of the panic and fear of the oppression and the terror of Daesh more than 200 thousand Yazidis were displaced, some flee to the Kurdistan Region and others to Mount Sinjar, where they are living in severe humane and weather conditions, and still many thousands of them are stranded in the mountains without any protection, food, medical supplies or shelter.
   As we in the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council deeply condemn what happens to the Yezidis and all the other components in the areas controlled by Daesh, which can be elevated to the level of ethnic cleansing, genocide and crimes against humanity, we are sending this appeal to all members of the UN Security Council and the International Community to carry out their moral responsibilities to provide international protection for our people in the Nineveh Plain and the brothers Yazidis in Sinjar, and to provide security and stability for them as soon as possible, so that these crimes will not be repeated in other parts of the Nineveh Plain.
   We call on the UN Security Council for an urgent military intervention in support of the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga forces of the Kurdistan Region, to address and eliminate Daesh terrorist gangs, as we also urge the major political blocs to forget their differences and speed up on the formation of a new Iraqi government, to re-control the country and to provide food, medical and humanitarian supplies to the brothers Yazidis stranded in Mount Sinjar, as well as all the displaced of our Chaldean Syriac Assyrian people and the other components in the Kurdistan Region and the safe areas in the Nineveh Plain, before this would turn to a huge uncontrollable humanitarian disaster, because the numbers of the displaced exceed the logistical and financial capabilities of the Region, also to provide the necessary services to these areas.
  We also call on the International Community to support our Christian people to obtain all their legitimate rights, which will guarantee their right to manage their areas, with the participation of the rest of the components in the Nineveh Plain.
