Our representatives in the Iraqi House of Representatives and the Kurdistan
Region Parliament, held at the headquarters of the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular
Council in Erbil - Ainkawa on 21 72 014, an exceptional meeting to discuss the
forced displacement problem of our people by the armed terrorist groups, where they
issued a repudiation statement, denouncing the heinous crimes committed against
our people. The statement appealed to the Federal and the Kurdistan Region governments
to carry their responsibilities towards our people, and demanded the
international community and world aid organizations to provide them with
assistance. The participants also discussed how to provide water, electricity
and food to the displaced and retrieve their property and their belongings that
were taken from them.

About recent events in the city of Mosul
Once again terrorism affects our authentic people (the Chaldean
Syriac Assyrian) of unarmed civilians in the city of Mosul, where the armed terrorist
groups and their supporters, who seized control of the city of Mosul last June,
threatened our people to either convert to Islam, or to pay tribute or they
would be killed, as issued by the terrorist groups.
The history of our people existence in Nineveh province goes back to
thousands of years BC, where they established the civilization of Mesopotamia which
presented a lot to humanity, and today the terrorist groups clear Mosul of its
authentic inhabitants and burn the churches and the monasteries to prevent them
from practicing their rituals, such rituals they kept practicing since the dawn
of Christianity.
We are the representatives of our people in the Iraqi Council of
Representatives and the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, denounce and condemn
this act and the mass displacement and the stealing of our people’s property,
which all rise to be crimes against humanity. So we appeal to the federal and the
Kurdistan governments, the international community, the United Nations and all the
international relief organizations to carry out their responsibilities, and to protect
the Iraqi Christians of our Chaldean Syriac Assyrian and the Armenian people
