Sodertalje - A crowd of more than 2,500 spectators came out for the opening 2012 Assyriska game on Monday as they easily surpassed Brage on a final score of 3 - 1.
Assyriska played the game with an unusual 4-3-3 that paid off well as the 22-year old Kosovar forward Fuad Hyseni scored in just 2 minutes into the game.
Admir Catovic scored in the 23rd minute giving the home side a 2 - 0 lead and took it to halftime.
Brage's Dragan Kapcevic cut the lead by scoring on the 61st minute, however the Assyrian Nahir Besara put the ball in net in the 83rd minute to cap-off the victory.
Assyriska is playing in the Superettan division this season, which is the second highest level in the Swedish football league system.
Last season the team had a disappointing season as they finished 9th in the league, failing to advance to the top level and joining Syrianska.
The team's next match will be on Saturday as they take on Varbergs BoIS.
