Baghdeda - The construction of a large multi-purpose hall is underway in Baghdeda, the largest Assyrian town of Iraq.
Work began on October 1, 2011 which is fully funded by Sarkis Aghajan's Christian Affairs Committee and under direct
supervision of Father Louis Katsav from a local church.
The project sits on an area of 2,700 square meters in Imami Street and is estimated to be completed by the end of this year's summer.
The hall be able to cater up to 1,600 people at a time.
Located in the Nineveh Plains, Baghdeda is a town of 50,000 people and is a half hour drive from Mosul.
