(Aswat Al-Iraq) NINEVEH - The Iraqi Justice and Reform Movement announced today
that it rejects the formation of a province in the Ninewa plateau,
warning that this step may divide the country.

Abdullah al-Yawar, the group's secretary general, told Aswat al-Iraq
that "we reject such calls as it is a division of Iraq."
The Assyrian political gatherings, consisting of 14
parties and political entities, held talks with other Iraqi blocs on the
formation of a new province in the Ninewa plateau.
"All the speakers do not represent the public opinion. The
Christians have lived in the area for the longest length of time, so
they should have a greater role in building and protecting our
province," he confirmed.
"We warned last April against attempts to divide Ninewa.We held several seminars and conferences in this regard," he added.
